The Journey Begins (Again)

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Thanks for joining me! It’s been a bit of hassle to get to this point, so I thought I would take a moment to explain how we got to where we are today.

First off, I would like to thank everyone who continues to follow me, including those who send me messages asking when book #2 will be coming out. It really does make me smile to know that you loved Sister so much that you want to come back for more of what I’ve got rolling around in my brain. I do promise that I will be releasing snippets here and there of the next book in short order, so stay tuned!

Secondly, I decided to reboot the website, and in doing so, I booted out the old one, and started fresh with nkmurray.com. Why? Well, you know my name so. . . yeah, that was my logic. While I love(d) the name Blonderoyalt, and the reasoning behind it (Blonde, with a Royal Typewriter for those who don’t know), it’s a lot easier to tell people how to find me this way.

And finally, for my own sanity, I need to write more often. I find when things get hard in my life, whether it’s the grind of the every day or just a lot going on, that I step away from my writing, when I should be stepping towards it. I lie awake at night with these vignettes playing on repeat of this next book, but I haven’t been writing them down. I’ve said it before, how life gets in the way when you least expect it, and that’s the truth. There is an absolute correlation for me in my mood and my ability to write and when my anxiety/depression demons creep to the forefront, the writing demon sits back and waits. . . sometimes patiently, but more often than not keeping me awake replaying my unwritten stories in my head.

So, keep checking back and I will keep writing. In the meantime, check out this cool pic a buddy of mine sent me from his recent beach vacation. There is nothing I love more than seeing my book being read! Thanks again for reading, and until next time, play nicely with your demons. They are what make you, you.
